Welcome to Short City Break, the site for all those who want to get away, yet don’t have the time, inclination, or budget for a longer holiday. Short City Breaks can cover midweek or weekend stays in a variety of UK, European, or even global locations, offering tourists the chance to experience many different sights, sounds, and attractions.

When it comes to the UK, no Short City Break Guide would be complete without mentioning the capital city of London, the city that has quite literally something for everyone to enjoy. There are art galleries, museums, and interactive attractions for the whole family dotted throughout the city, along with famous shopping streets /outlets like Oxford Street, Covent Garden, Harrods, and Selfridges, Royal Palaces and Parks, Football Stadiums, West End Theatres, and a music scene packed full of talent. If its talent you’re after, then you wouldn’t go far wrong with a visit to Edinburgh either, home of the famous Edinburgh Festival and Fringe, or Liverpool, as former European City of Culture, and birthplace of Super group The Beatles. There’s also the historic cities of Cambridge, Oxford, Chester, the Roman City of Bath, and Dublin with the famous Grafton Street and Guinness Brewery.

Eurostar, good European train links, and flights from the majority of UK airports, have opened up Europe to the Short Break Market. Eurostar trains run from London or Kent, to Paris, Lille, Cologne, Avignon, Marseille, and Brussels, with attractions like the Eiffel Tower, Disneyland Paris in France, and The 17th Century Grand Place in Brussels, Belgium, just a few of the many attractions open to visitors exploring these European Cities. For those who’d rather hop on a plane, then Rome, Venice, Barcelona and Madrid could also be options for a city break. You could be climbing the Spanish Steps or gazing at the Trevi Fountain in Rome, taking a Gondola in Venice, or taking in attractions such as La Sagrada Familia in Barcelona, Museo Del Prado in Madrid, and Palacio Real, the Royal Palace, also in Madrid.

Although they will fall at the higher end of the spectrum price wise, it’s also possible to take an exciting city break beyond European boundaries, with places like New York proving ever popular with tourists. Times Square, The Empire State Building, and Central Park are just some of the attractions that await visitors there, and the shopping is excellent too!

Short City Breaks to any of the destinations mentioned above can be booked on a package basis, which includes any flights, attraction tickets, car hire, and accommodation, or you may choose to book each part of your break directly with hotels, travel providers, and attractions. There may well be special offers on at various times as well either through travel providers, or sites offering last minute bookings. There is a Short City Break to suit all needs, tastes, and budgets. It’s just a case of finding the right one, and this is where Shortcitybreaks.co.uk will come in, so bookmark the site, and come back soon!
